get ur self a piece of wood with the bark on it about 3-4 inches round, ( just go & trim a branch off that tree in ur neighbours yard, all u need is about 12 inches long. Now cut little pieces an inch or two tall. now drill a 5/8" hole ine middle of them, & there u go little wooden branch candle holders

Mason jars with votive candles in holders dropped in them. Then take some decorative paper of your choice and tape around the neck of the jar. Tie a ribbon around the top of jar neck, light candle and you're done.

Hang some of those small seedling pots with sand. Drill holes for hanging wires, from trees or patio cover.
You could fill them half full, drill some holes above the sand level to emit light.

The paper won't burn, and it will provide a nice little glow.

Save some cans ( vegetable/soup/whatever)-- fill them with water and freeze-- take a nail and hammer and make holes in the cans-- when you have enough-- spray the dry cans any color you want and place your candles inside to light-- won't blow away in the wind.

I use those round citronella candles and decorate the outside. They are pretty once decorated and help to keep the mosquitos away.

You could paint them, then attach them with hot glue to form a Christmas tree, snowman, etc.(just watch the flames around kids, pets....)
