in my own opinion, Hermione is a very important character in HP series especially in Sorcerer's(intelligence), Chamber( i saw her much more important here than ron though ron has more apperance), Prisner(time-turner), Goblet(She was much closer to harry than ron because of harry's feud with ron) , and Order(remember when she tricked umbridge to go to the centaurs, "very clever") and the Half-blood Prince( Being beaten by Harry in Potions, I want to see how the two actors will work it out while Ron is very important in Sorcerer(Chess), Chamber(Not that much but alteast he accompanied harry in the ford anglia and down into the chambers, prisoner(scabbers), and order(quidditch keeper) i don't think he was important in goblet and half-blood prince plot. But ofcourse i welcome your opinions.

I guess I haven't really thought about it because it seems like it's always the both of them together. I see what you mean about Hermione being important but I think my first instinct would be to say that Ron is more important. They're all best friends but Harry and Ron I always think are both closer as they're both boys. Also if it hadn't been for Ron Harry could have turned out totally different. In the Philosopher's Stone Ron and Harry immediately have a connection because they're both just starting Hogwarts and then what if Harry hadn't seen Draco being rude to Ron? Things could have turned out so differently. Through Ron Harry also has a kind of surrogate family in the Weasleys' and it means he has people looking out for him.

If you remember, in all the six books you will find Harry and Ron always together hanging around and at most times Hermoine would be the link between Harry and Ron. Ron has a soft corner for Hermoine and he did'nt like her being with Krum.But the seventh book will answer all our questions and i regret it being the last book .

ron is there to give the movie some funny scenes. I was hoping hermione will be harry's love interest. when will it happen?
I guess Harry Potter is not harry alone but with hermione and ron. I guess I'll just give them equal importance.
