Yes! I love it!
My company (an investment firm that was created by 4 "conservative good ole boys in Texas") actually has offered same sex benefits for at least 4 years now. I can't tell you how happy I am to work for a company that actually recognizes that my partner should be treated just like someone else's husband or wife and that we're a family regardless of whether or not we fit the mold.
It's a great, great thing!

Yeah, more and more big companies are including domestic partners on insurance plans, which is good for those equal rights and the children of same sex couples. Now if they would just be called wife or husband and not partner. One step at a time.

Even though the term "domestic partners" is thought to mean homo couples by most people (including you, evidently), most benefactors of domestic partner benefits are unmarried straight couples.
More and more companies are doing this every day. Yep, it's cool!! Not just for the homos, but for unmarried straight couples as well.

relies upon on how lengthy both were jointly yet i comprehend that in the adventure that they do enable this, then they could besides carry decrease back the regulation of you married once you've lived jointly for 7 or more effective years without honestly declaring or signing a wedding ceremony license If 2 human beings spend time jointly and function split their earnings and charges...I honestly don't have any problems with it however it does throw out the total marriage aspect, which could throw the census out also and make the gov. mad if it may no longer get an precise account of all its human beings for the taxes So i wager...i'm a fence straddler in this difficulty and may want to be of no help

Many companies are offering this benefit in order to aid in recruiting and retaining qualified employees. It's a win-win situation. Gay people who are talented are going to seek out employers who will support their families. Employers have need of finding employees who will, quite frankly, earn them money and help their companies run smoothly. Most of the Fortune 100 companies have found this works well for them and offer such benefits.

my company allows for same sex benefits, but not the SAME benefits.........what I mean is that I can put my partner on my insurance, but the deduction is made AFTER taxes and straight married people get the deduction BEFORE taxes and thats still not totally fair but we're getting there!
