I think my son's SSI number is being used by his grandmother (my x's mother) to get section 8 housing. I don't know anything about section 8 so that is why I have came here. She is by herself and can she get section 8 just her alone or does this require for her to have a child on disablity as my son is? This woman got kicked out of her other section 8 housing program before and she had her other grandchild staying with her from her other son. Any info will be apperciated.
This woman is a very wicked lady and can lie her way out of a paper bag.

Monday I will have this checked out with a credit check. I will also call SSI and find out if my son's number has been used. This woman had section 8 taking away from her and her family even said it was strange that she was getting it again unless she is using someone else's SSI number.

anyone using a social security number that isn't there's can be arrested for identity theft. if you have proof she is doing this then she needs to be stopped. this is totally wrong. both ethically and morally!!!

you as the mother can have it checked to see if she IS using his number. if she is she will be arrested for idenity theft and fraud. the thing with section 8 is most who dont make enough money can get it, disability people have a much better chance, hope this has helped you a little bit.

The more children you have the better it is in order to get section 8. I lost me and my sons SS card. I had them put a flag by it so if before anyone tries to use it the must contact me first to see if it is actually me using it.

run a credit check?
go to the police and report it,
its pretty obvious to anyone that a minor dont need a house in their name or would get one.
