I have MTNL broadband connection working on PPPoE. With it i have Dlink ADSL Modem 502T. I want to connect Net gear WGR614v6 wireless router with it. I want to know the step by step configuration. Auto wizard with net gear is not able to connect to the internet.

1) Set a PC with Ethernet for DHCP (auto configure, NOT PPPOe)
2) Connect the WIRED connection the the router & configure the PPPoE settings in the ROUTER as required by your provider to login (usually user/password). Follow the procedures outlined in the documentation. Usually you set these by accessing the router in a web browser via the gateway address.
3) Configure the wireless settings (SSID and security key, either WEP or WPA)
4) Now connect the WAN port to the DSL modem and allow the router to logon
5) Finally, reconnect your machines (wired or wireless) to the router

the best step by step answer you can get only with the pdf document which is there with router .
I can tell u a main problem is dlink and net gear they have some compatiblity issues.
1. dlink router works on dhcp
you have to first disble dhcp and give a static c class ip.
2. and give the same series ip on the netgear as well.
50% job is done after connectin try pinging the wire less router and the adsl.
