I have a saying that an enemy is just an ally you don't yet need. I just think about how the USA and Russia are bosom buddies now Russia has oil it is willing to sell.
Maybe in time and for reasons yet unknown the USA will let go the apron strings stil attached to Israel- then Israel will either decide to get on with her Arab neighbours, or perish.
That's my view anyway.

What is peace? Not a pause in conflict, not conveyor belt of alms from the productive to parasites.

There can be a dictatorship living by a dictatorship; a dictatorship living by a free country; a free country living by a free country. One of these three relationships is quite likely to enjoy lasting peace.

So long as anyone wants to initiate force against another for any reason there will not be peace. This includes forcing someone to give up their hard earned money (taxes), forcing someone to not put certain things in their bodies (drug laws), forcing someone to live by the ways of your religion, etc.

ask yourself this question. why is Israel still in existence? think about it, it's one of the smallest countries in the world. many nations have tried to eliminate them over the centuries. greater and larger nations than Israel have long ago vanished from the earth. yet all these centuries later here Israel still is. and why is the holy land always in the news(ie-Jerusalem)? flip open your bible and you will know the truth. it's that simple, it is God's will that they survive, and that all the events of the world that have occurred up to now, have been allowed by the Lord so that His will will be fulfilled. read it, know it, live it.

You see people talk about love in real life but i think in politics we need more than that.

As the saying goes :it is better to be feared than to be loved in politics,(Niccolo machiaveli).this i believe so much. And i think that is what isreal and Bush is doing, which seems to be the only long lasting solution .

Remember there will always be power strugle in life, not only the middle east.

Your right. there is a double standard. When the Israelis fight back it is Zionist aggression. When the Palestinian terrorize the Israeli's it is a war of liberation.
