Just try to eat healthy and not go overboard. I gained 60 lbs with my first son and didn't really work to get it off I lost about 40 lbs before I got pregnant with my second son. Well I only gained about 30 lbs this time and have lots 20 lbs already. I do breastfeed and walk at least 30 minutes everyday and try to eat healthy. You don't have to cut foods out just don't over do it. Good luck and congratulations!

Congrats!
Most women gain about 30 pounds when pregnant, and twenty pounds of that is lost immediately after the pregnancy (ten pounds are from the mommy saying, "I'm pregnant, I can eat what I want!" LOL). You certainly won't be obese, I promise, but if you are overweight now or have real concerns, try joining Weight Watchers. My mother tried it and it's worked for her, and has also helped us all eat healthier. Good luck!

Breastfeed!
Breastfeeding helps you burn lots of calories!
Breastfeeding requires an average of 500 extra calories per day and breastfeeding mothers who eat a normal diet lose the extra weight they gained during pregnancy faster than moms who choose to bottle feed. In one study, mothers who breastfed exclusively or partially had significantly larger reductions in hip circumference and were less above their pre-pregnancy weights at 1 month postpartum than mothers who fed formula exclusively.
Other studies have also shown that women who were overweight when they began their pregnancies can safely get closer to their ideal weight by breastfeeding in conjunction with a moderate exercise program.

Breastfeed, eat right, drink plenty of water and take a walk everyday...if your not overweight before the baby, then you should get back to near normal weight pretty soon after birth.

Breastfeeding will help you lose the weight. I gained 55 pounds with my first one and I lost 60 afterwards. I didn't really try to lose, I just breastfed.

Breastfeed for a year or two and you will drop weight without trying unless of course you start eating more than you usually would.
