The government.
Simply because you have empowered it.
What it then does has to be in accordance with the people!
Or else, you can vote them out of power.
Simple.
Just cribbing because Blair has screwed up isnt helping.
YOU make the choice, YOU suffer the consequences.
However, the queen must not be forgotten, afterall, SHE IS THE QUEEN.
C my point???
But you can never expect the queen to have the same powers of the government as the government represents US(The public).
The queen got her position through heriditary means! And technically, all she is doing now is sitting on the taxpayer's money.
Anyway, the way the current government is running, i guess that the queen should have more rights, atleast to offer an opinion that is taken into consideration.

Do you mean The Queen or Government? Or do you mean The Queen or Tony Blair? I don't think the rest of the government have much of a say in anything these days....he seems to be a law unto himself. In answer to your question at this moment I would therefore have to say The Queen!

Government makes decisions not the Queen.
When Acts of parliament are made the Queen signs them before they become law. However if she ever refused to sign one there would be a constitutional crisis which would almost certainly see her removed from power and the country turned into a republic.
In effect she is only titular head of state and has no real power.

Hmm. Queen is not elected. Government is.
The Government is corrupt and elected, the Queen is honest but hereditary office.
If you look at Thailand, the people got rid of the PM (Thaksin) but elections were ruled invalid. They are in a state of limbo, but the country is doing well. The people asked the King to take over - he declined saying Thailand is a democracy.

The Government because WE elected them into power to represent us. The reason for the English civil war was down to the fact that Charles I had too much power. We live in a democracy. The Queen is our head of state & brings much revinue & buisness into our country...long may it last.
