America, and its reckless butcher child Israel, are always greedy and inhumane.

Where does it end? Why should hard-working citizens and business people be penalized by providing money for the impoverished. Many times, they refuse job-training or relocation or if actual money is provided it doesn't solve the problem but only sustains them for awhile. You neglect to mention the funding that comes from churches and other aid sources and if you lump them all together, you might find that America is far more generous than you believe. Moreover than that, why should the US be expected to support other countries? Why can't their own government bring about changes in their own policies to carry for their people. Yes, in the events of a natural disaster, foreign aid is appropriate but often the money never reaches the people. Let others pay for the corruption and the degradation of their supported friends but the US should halt foreign aid, and then assign it where it is needed and if it is warranted. Handing out money is both stupid and costly. This does not make friends by handing out money as we can see by our present love/hate affair in the world community.

Why should anyone need aid? Why can't ppl work for their own welfare. Aid doesn't help anyone. Aid is just so that ppl who give it can feel good about themselves. And what right does poor countries have to demand aid from america? It is not their money. Americans should be able to do whatever they want with their money. How much does your country give? This is a really bad attitude. Asking ppl to be generous...hah!

If it wasn't for the USA this world would be in a chaos that you could not imagine! Why don't you explore the facts a little bit more before writing something like this.
The same applies to the stupid remark someone gave here about Israel! GO STUDY THE FACTS INSTEAD OF BEING BRAINWASHED BY CNN! You just come across being very ignorant and naive!

nope......considering about 45% of our income goes to taxes of some sort, taking care of the health and educational needs of at least 20 million illegal immigrants, and that we are paying about 35% of the u.n.'s budget, i don't feel guilty at all.
figures don't lie but liars often figure. you said earlier that you were grateful to terrorists. where do you live?

I am not ashamed. We have our own set of problems right now that need to be adressed. Katrina, and other hurricanes, for starters. We need our own aid right now.

I'm proud of our capitalism. (To the extent that we have it.)
Laissez-faire, not just in economics but in all aspects of life, is the key to living together peacefully as a society.
