The questions on ere about god, questioning his existance, tere is FAR to many questions about it and it just winds me up! Also about how to find a girl/boy friend, how do we know, there are no secrets, you just get one! It's just silliness and it's getting on my nerves. What about some intellectual questions like ''Do you think it's time for George Bush and Tony Blair to step down?'' or ''How does the Earth stay in orbit?''. Tell me what you think...

It's true, it's much more interesting to get someones opinion and not just posting an unanswerable question, but then I got "which is the best dog- black lab or spaniel?' removed because it 'incited violence or hatred'!! Can you believe that?

I don't think ''Do you think it's time for George Bush and Tony Blair to step down?'' or ''How does the Earth stay in orbit?'' are intellectual questions, but I see your point.

I have asked intellectual questions, and all I get is idiot replies, I got one with a reply which was a google search copy and pasted which had nothing to do with answering the actual question, and because I didnt select an answer it went to a vote, people selected that stupid answer.

I think in that is your answer, there are many uninformed morons on here who will answer anything for 2 points, and so the people who ask the questions get bored and annoyed with the dumb answers, and either ask and answer dumb questions like everybody else or bug out.

I think the god/religion questions are funny and make things interesting, at least it gives a laugh or two.

There's not much point asking too many intellectual questions on here as half the people on Answers can barely spell their own name.

It would be nice to have a bit of variety though, why don't you start the ball rolling to asking an intelligent / thought provoking question rather than this one?!

I think it is because there are too many frustrated kids out there, fantasizing about sex and wishing they could experience it.
One can only sympathize ...
As for the God-bashers - well, they're just sneering. It's easy to avoid them, just ignore them.
I asked what I thught was a through provoking question and didn't get half as many replies. It is a pity because I think this is an excellent forum to raise issues that are important to our society.

i think you are right to question the validity of some of the topics on these pages, yes to the first question and the earth stays in orbit because of its rotating axis and the speed of its rotational axis.about god if we allow free thinking, free speech, free will ect ect. then you cannot question the religeous beliefs of anyone, his or her ability to post any type of question stands at the forefront of that persons human rights, god and religeous beliefs play an important role in many peoples waking thoughts so we put up with the zealots, the bible bashers , the kooks and the insane,
dont read them.
