What kind of dumb question is that? Do YOU support terrorism?

2006-07-21 23:02:30 · answer #1 · answered by suzanne 5 · 0 0

No.. For the most part. Iran is ruled by an extremist religious elite, which do not represent the majority of the Iranian population. Many Iranian's have no ill feelings toward western nations. But the minority rules their culture and unfortunately the minority has extremist tones which do support different types of terrorism.

But, don't lump all Iranian's into one group. In every nation the populations are very diverse. Some in the US are democrats and others republican, they are all America but have very different ideas on how to run the country.

NOT all Iranians support terrorism. Some, the ones in power do, because it helps them achieve goals...destruction of Israel...driving attention away from themselves so they can grab power...from their people and also build nuclear weapons to either bargain with.

Of course people support terrorism...otherwise there wouldn't be any. It takes a whole country such Lebannon to look away and allow a Hezbollah to become a major force in the country...and help of people in other nations (Syria and Iran). Hezbollah may have become popular in Lebannon by defending against Israelis, but Israel would have never entered Lebannon if it had not allowed Syria to occupy it and to attack Israel as Hezbollah is, from Lebannons Southern Borders...The purpose is to destroy Israel...and Israel.

Either Lebannon is a sovereign nation that is capable of controlling forces within it, and it refuses to do so ...or the country is in anarchy and Hezbollah has the strongest factionand therefore actually represents Lebannon. Sad but true.

Hezbollah could not have become powerful with tanks or rockets without help...Syria and Iran are great supporters of Hezbollah with money and military equiptment / rockets.

As a whole the answer is an emphatic NO. There is sympathy towards them in there fight to free Palestine throughout the Muslim world. Yet most Muslims wish to pray in peace. They despise seeing other innocent Muslims killed. This is a technique used by the terrorist. By placing ammunition's among civilians and living amongst them they entice the Israelis to bomb and thus creating more terrorist. Little known fact that Hezbollah is refusing to let civilian refugees escape to northern Lebanon. Thus using them as human shields and inciting others around the world to become extremist. They need to push Hezbollah back to Syria. Put pressure on the Syrians to push them back to Iran where they can be eliminated.

Some do, some a just normal citizens, who have to listen to the terrorists or their lifes are threatened. They also acknowledge soldiers who are there, because they're like their 'saviours'.

It's sad. I am anti-terrorist. What can we do to stop this?
