yep! I bought a goldfish a while back, it ending up getting a disease called tail rot/fin rot, where its whole tail just basically fell apart. I treated it so the disease would stop spreading. then its tail grew back in a few months with the help of some medicine to repair its fins :-p

hope this helps!

There's no point reading (a tale) to goldfish. They can't keep up with the plot as they alledgedly only have 8 seconds memory.

As long as the wound doesn't get infected, they should be able to recover enough to survive. You'll have to be selective about what you feed it. It won't be able to chase food anymore, so sinking wafers or something else that sinks and stays put might work. If there are other fish with it, they're liekly to bully. it. There's three legged dogs in the world. You should be able to nurse along a crippled goldie. :)

Depends what the tale is about - short funny stories generally work best.

On the other hand, depending how much of tail is gone, they can only survive indefinitely as tail is vital for swimming.

goldfish don't have tails they have fins if you mean the back of the goldfish ends Then well they cant swim so maybe only a few days it depends of how long can they survive without food
