reconstructionism is not a word in the dictionary. but education is a social construct. a necessary construction of man. education is a not teaching, rather creation of experiences and experiences come from society in a construct made by society.
we have to create meaning to create experiences and vice versa and education is a means of reconstructing or reforming sociey by altering beliefs and emphasizing norms (which is a social construct).
there are definately issues of social justice, peace, and reform in society and education in the best manner (mulitple intellegences, and constructivism) can change the world dramatically and for the better.

Reconstructionist Judaism is a movement of Judaism with a very liberal set of beliefs:
an individual's personal autonomy should generally override traditional Jewish law and custom, yet also take into account communal consensus,
modern culture is accepted,
traditional rabbinic modes of study, as well as modern scholarship and critical text study, are both valid ways to learn about religious texts,
non-fundamentalist methods of teaching about Jewish principles of faith are acceptable, and no Jew needs to accept all, or any, principles of faith,
rejection of belief that the Jews are the only chosen people.
miracles and theism are generally not accepted
