I am thinking about becoming a best selling novelist, but at 37 is it too late ? I am wondering if there is any precedent for authors who wrote their first novel in their thirties or forties. Wasn't Paul Coelo getting on a bit when he started?

I am getting to old, at 37, for my current career ( I am a child model and the work is drying up, unfortunately )

L. Frank Baum was in his late 30s when he wrote his first book, and over forty when he came up with his masterpiece The Wizard of Oz.

No one is too old to inspire people to become what they want to be and since Youre a child model maybe you could write about that or something else you know about. Just get off the computer and go write!

Lol the child model thing was funny.

Go for it though. I read an article just a few days ago about how Steinbeck's son is starting to write and is in his 40's I think.

Do not let your age discourage you from giving it a shot. In fact, don't let anything discourage you. If writing is what you love to do, then write.
