That would depend on how she said it. It could be funny, it could be hurtful.

Im not a man but honestly I don't see the big deal...dear doesn't mean anything, it is completely harmless. Now if the woman started calling other men "sexy" "hott stuff" "cutie" "baby" "hunny" or things like that, then the man should have a talk with her.

Can u restoration the subject concerns, for which she calling her chum's husband...if sure, then tell ur spouse and stop coming of that guy...if u can not mend the subject concerns then take centers of a professional...seek advice from ur spouse concerning to the guy and that u dont like his coming to ur place so frequently...u could do it as customary conversations turns to friendship and then save directly to further point...u will could tackle the priority with ur spouse...

Like she wants to use a term of endearment for him, no big deal. I trust my wife, and she can call anyone dear that she wants.

Most times if she calls her husband dear she is saying that "it's a long time since we had a fight."

Normally if she calls another man dear it means that she has forgotten his name.
