i love the intensity. it makes him mysterious...obviously hes enjoying his success, but he doesnt need to jump and cheer. it shows amazing sportsmanship i think.

Well, that's how typical best world player seems to be. For example, look at riquelme from argentina. At first glance, if u met him down the street, u wouldn't know that he's the argentinian playmaker. He is one hell of a footballer. And of course andrea pirlo whom I think the main factor y the azzuri won the world cup. And I am agree with u that he is one of the greatest dead ball expert of all time. It's just who he really is. Great players come from great individuals. They don't like to be in the lime light so much. They don't get into much trouble or controversy. Even ,I haven't heard of em untill this wc . Basically, he already gets what he wants. He just don't like to brag that much

Andrea Pirlo born 19th May 1979, married to Deborah, son Niccolo. He was not only Man of the Match at the final on 9th july 2006, he was also Man of the Match on 12th June against Ghana & on July 4th against Germany. Maybe he is just too cool to jump up & down

Like me, Andrea Pirlo is from Northern Italy, and we are a little less loud and expressive than the average Italian -- or at least the average Italian's stereotype. Maybe that's why -- but then again, Cannavaro is from the South, and he didn't celebrate either during the penalties...

People aren't "strange" because they don't jump up and down and say everything is about THEM. Quite the opposite I'd say reference the really "great" ones like Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan. They don't have to make a sad spectacle of themselves, they know the deal. Pirlo had virtually EVERYTHING go through him in the final. Italy would have been discombobulated on the attack without him. Those of us who really know and understand the game saw that, and I am sure he knows the game as well.

but i think i saw him celebrating as grosso got the last one to kiss the net.

as for 'the greatest dead ball expert' tag i think as it was amply illustrated at this world cup, that there's nobody to challenge david beckham for it.

well, he seemed quite happy, hugging everyone when they won the World Cup, but I guess that's just how he his, he's not going to do a little dance like Buffon, I guess, haha.
