Find out about what age your mother, sisters or grandmother got theirs. That is not a definete time frame but it helps to give you a general idea of when you should get it.

When I got mine in school for the first time 20 years ago( I know I'm old)I just had a funny feeling, no cramps or anything and I excused myself to go to the bathroom and sure enough it was there. But usually for the first few months it's very irregular. Talk to your mom about or a close Aunt or friend. And just remember getting your period also means you can get pregnant when having unprotected sex. So be careful sweets!!!

Unfortunately, you get no warning. Hopefully, yours will starty "slowly" and you'll be in the bathroom noticing blood on your panties instead of finding a red mark on the back of a white skirt (which is what happened to me) Girls start their menstrual periods anywhere from age 11 to 19. If you're not in that age group and still have started that monthly cycle, talk to your doctor.

In general, it starts on average around 18 mos after your breasts bud... however there are SO many variables.

The key is to being ready. Keep a few pads in your purse and/or bookbag.

HOW WEIRD, IT'S THE SAME WITH ME! I was wondering the same thing. My doctor told me it was about time, but nothing has happened exept yellow gooey stuff (you don't want to know details). I guess you just have to be patient and wait.

You better start carrying pads or tampons around with you then. And ask your mom how to use them correctly.

Girl trust me, you don't want to rush it, it's nothing but a pain (sometimes literally). It will come when it;s time.

ask your questions now about how to handle it,(MOM) be prepared, and then relax and when it happens it does. You sound anxious about it, don't worry, these things happen in their time not yours.
