Rudy
It had one of the best Parts ive ever seen in a movie.. much less based on a real story
When he's ready to give up, since he isnt gonna play (at least so far) in a game. Then the black guy the field keeper comes up to him and asks him whats he doing and he says that he only came to Notre Dame to prove to evryone that he could get in.
And the guy said "Prove what? Your 5 feet nothing.. 100 and nothing. you have barely a speck of athletic ability, and your about to walk out of here with a degree from the university of Notre Dame. In this day and time the only one you have anythign to prove anything to, is your self."
I think that line alone should have gotten a best scene on earth oscar.
I know the Black guy is based on several people but wonder if that scene ever really did happen. Would love to meet the guy who said the words to Rudy.

To be honest i think some of the blockbuster films really are overated and when i do get to see them i feel let done because it didnt live up to all the hype. My partner dragged me off to watch kill bill and i was like great really dont want to see this pants and i loved it more than he did. Im usually a chick flick kinda girl so it was a pleasant suprise to like something i wouldnt usually of watched.

Failure to Launch. I thought I would hate it. I really liked it, for the most part. Zooey Deschanel, in a supporting role, was hilarious. The cinematography and pace of the film were both very good. It also made me laugh, which, of course, was its main purpose.

For me it was Phonebooth
When I first heard about the plot a thought it sounded crap.
Watching a guy in a phonebooth for almost 2 hours sounded painful
But when I saw the movie my opinion did a complete u-turn. It now ranks in my top three movies of all time.

gladiator. I really didnt think I would enjoy it but gave it a go when it was out at the cinema. I liked it so much I bought it when it came out on DVD. Im not usually into all that kind of stuff but I thought the storyline was fantastic.
have you ever seen a film you thought you would love but then thought it was a load of rubbish?
I have many a time.....Flight Plan.....Hulk.......Probably too many to list!!!!!

"Shawshank Redemption" because I don't care for Tim Robbins. But he did a good job and it was a great movie with an ensemble cast. What made me watch it was that I found out it was written by Steven King who also wrote "The Green Mile."

I used to hate the thought of "Annie" (that's about a 20 year old movie) because it looked positively silly, but I changed my mind when it came on TV and I watched it and I liked it.
It was funny and not silly and embarrassing as I though it might be.

Serendipity.
I'm a John Cusack fan and there was nothing else to see. It tells you that you don't have to settle for what makes sense, but go after what you really want, your dreams. You'll never know until you try.
It's also where I fell in love with Kate Beckinsale. (Then of course she along came Underworld).
