PEOPLE ARE NOT BORN GAY-
Years ago there was this "scientific evidence" that gay people had a different gene, It made much fanfare, especially in red states with liberal media. It was quickly discounted by real scientists (not liberal college kids) but the media never covered that part.
Circumstances and the right to choose your own life are where people come out homosexual.

Who knows. Some scientific research was done that seemed to have pointed towards DNA in this area but it was never replicated or studied further. I am gay and personally I believe I choose to be gay. Of course I say this because I hold out on the possibility that there is free will and that people should allow themselves to change as life takes them through their various interchanges with other people and situations. I feel bad about someone labeling themselves too young about being one way or another and then feeling like they have to accept this label the rest of their life. I have always been gay but maybe 10 years down the road who knows.....once people open up and just let the whole issue relax a little people might find that life can change them just as much as life changes itself.

No friend...I dont believe that people are born gay, or raised in a certain manner. It's unfair to blame parents for the choices their kids make with their personal lives. Take this senario for instance...a child raised in a home or mission orphanage,or a foster home with strict religious upbringing, grows up to be a doctor, but chooses a lifestyle thats different, who do you blame for that. A child raised in a strict household that is totally against gay and lesbiansm, who is blamed for that? the parents?
I think its selfish to blame a gay persons parents or guardians for the choices that an individual makes with his personal life.
And shame on you for being selfish in thinking that way,wht if its ur kid? will u take the blame?or..who will you blame?

Yes, I believe sexual orientation is set at birth. That does not mean it is "genetic" necessarily. The most recent studies point to the orientation being set in the womb due to fluctations in hormones received by the fetus, and the fluctuations could be due to genetic factors, drugs given the mother or other factors impacting the mother during gestation. The studies are focusing on the shape and size of the hypothalmus and, most recently, how pheromones are recognized by the brain.

I believe they are born that way. Just like some people are born smarter or better at playing sports.

Jeez some of you people are stupid. I sometimes can't believe how brainless you really are.
I have 3 children a son and 2 daughters. My oldest daughter is lesbian, or bisexual, I'm not sure which coz her sexual preference is none of my business jus as it's none of yours. But if it was choice or upbringing, why was it only 1 of my children

Sorry, it's the wiring of the brain. There may be people who's wiring is fairly neitral, so that it can be a choice for them, or for whom environment will play a role, but for most, it's just the way their brain chemistry is.

Why is this an issue with you?
Did you just suddenly decide to be straight?
Why do you find it hard to believe that other people were born gay?
You didn't decide, by influence or environment, that you were straight.
Gay people don't decide, by influence or environment, that they are gay.
This is so simple.
Stop fighting it.

I also believe that people choose to be gay. Partly because there is no "Gay gene". Even the Gay scientist can't find it.
