Contrary to popular belifef, emo has NOTHING to do with the gothic genre. It is it's own individual genre... and has evolved to what people think to be dark and spooky. However, it is *not*.

Most gothic people will deny the emo scene being anything other than a passing trend. And want no social contact with these people. They make us look bad by cutting and moping... and though this is not a new trend, it is one that receives much mocking from our side of the fence.

So please stop thinking that they have anything to do with the gothic scene. They are just a "bad, cheap imitation of goth" as stated in the song.
