I have noticed that a whole lot of questions go to voting rather than being chosen as a best answer. Is this due to laziness ? Hard Decisions ? Curiosity ?
I prefer to have my answer chosen as best by the answerer rather than voted on. I mean first of all you can vote on your own question.. .. How easy is that? Most of the time their are only a few people that have voted at all, so you can win with your own vote !
I have won the points many times by voting for my own answer and while I DO Love points, the sense of satisfaction that comes from knowing that your answer was

Dear its like ppl ask something to others then either they dont want to rate the answer or they dint get the right answers as per thier expectations...

Another reason can b laziness also.....
and you are true saying that you can rate your answer as a best and in case of only one vote yu win the points... so this is thing which i think Yahoo groups shud change programitically that person cannot vote his/her own answer....

rest is OK... what is the harms if u get extra points..By voting u get one point then on winning the answer u can get another 10

any ways Cheers

I think others voting should become a standard, really.
Why have the person vote for the best answer, IF THEY ARE GOING TO VOTE WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR, then whats the point of these questions???

I think it's democratic if you can vote on it.

Why do you need to be validated by a question asker?

And why shouldn't you vote for yourself? Of course you think you're right, you put the answer down. But I have voted for others on questions I have answered because they were wittier, more thorough, or just plain funny.

Personally, it's because I don't keep track of when my questions expire. Yahoo does not e-mail you when you can select a best answer, only when your question is put up for vote. So it's kind of Yahoo's fault too.

Because
- there are too many good or bad answers and they cant decide
