Sorry but any plumbing on the residence side of the meter is your responsiblity. If you call the gas company for a leak on your side of the meter they will turn off your gas until you can prove the leak has been fixed.

Personal experience. They will make you pressure check the line to have your gas turned back on.

Contact a plumber to come out and fix it. He can legally do it for you with contacting the gas company.

This is an EXTREMELY dangerous situation. The gas needs to be shut off at the meter, NOW. Call the gas company to do so.
Ask them about the leak, but I expect it's your problem in that it's on your side of the meter.

Everything from the gas meter (inclusive) upstream belongs to the gas network owner (used to be Transco in the UK)

Everything from the pipe connection onto the downstream (customer) side of the meter, all the way to the appliances, belongs to you, and is your problem.

You are to immediately call the gas and electric company, then leave the house. Homeowners insureance may pay for any part that's not the fault of the gas company.

Do no try to fix this yourself! Call the gas compant. However, depending on the service plan you have, you may be responsoble for the cost of the repair since it is on
'your' side of the meter. But, once it is fixed, you should see a reduction in your bill!
