yup, its a one time deal, but not to be taken lightly. How about prevent it earlier so you don't need to worry about that? (IE: the pill, condoms, a patch, a shot...etc)

Yes. The morning after pill is literally 3 birth control pills taken at once to stop fertilization. It won't hurt you.

Um, also, to the poster above me, the morning after pill CAN be taken lightly. It's not a "one time deal." If you can't get your hands on it, gynocologists will tell you, three normal birth control pills have the same affect. It's within a 72 hr range because it takes that long for the sperm to get inside the egg. It does not kill a zygote, it literally prevents the creation of a zygote, the same as what a birth control pill does.

!!!! And it's NOT an aborticide. Aborticides expell already fertilized eggs, and they are much stronger. Morning afters have the affect as the birth control pill except after the fact instead of before. The Abortion pill is RU249, the morning after is RU247. They are two seperate things. Don't listen to the morons who are comparing it to an aborticide.

The morning after pill is a quick fix. It doesn't stay in the system for long.

If I have problems conceiving but not actually ready to get pregnant, morning after pills will be number 2 on my list (follwing barrier method). Its that safe.

Yes. All the morning after pill does is enduce the uterus to expell its contents. Typically, there is no scarring or damage done by this. The pill is actually a certain dose of hormones causing this reaction. Eventually, your body will right itself, and everything (physically) will be back to normal.

Maybe these are questions to ask your doctor. . .

Yes, it just stops the current fertilization cycle. You should always be using condoms, the morning after pill isn't birth control. It's a last line of defense.

Yes of course you can who in the world said that you can't... It's sort or like a little abortion pil lyou can say but not really because you really don't know if you were pregnat to begin with or not. It's like another method of birth control that makes it go away if by any chance it did occur... and If you decided to take it than that's your choice... don't let no one control your choices... because you live and learn from your mistakes... But if your having sex my advie would be to get on the pill...
