Keep in mind that terrorists (hizballah) are literally controling Lebanon, threatening it's residents not to oppose them.
Keep in mind that these terrorists, first attacked Israeli tanks, and kidnapped two innocent soldiers.
Keep in mind that they attacked muslim cities, and muslims Israeli civilians too.
Keep in mind that they are the ones that bomb northern Israel almost everyday , trying to threaten Israel.
Keep in mind that, Lebanese civilians that are innocent die almost everyday because of the cruel terrorists controlling Lebanon.
Keep in mind that, Iran and Syria (mostly Iran) are giving and exporting dangerous guns, missiles, and bombs to Lebanon.
Keep in mind that, since Lebanon is controlled by terrorists, it does affect the media, which in that case, will exaggerate, and even lie.

Ne0as0op, if Israel was to do this, it would seize to exist.
We cannot do this, returning all the land to countries, they are ours (Israel) it's like saying, fine Syria I'll give you my right arm!
Sure Lebanon here is my right ear, and my left leg.
Gaza don't worry you can keep my kidney and lung.

How many times do I have to recall myself ?!
ARg. If Israel was to give the golan heights or the Hermon mountain to Syria, Syria would be bombing the Israeli cities along the border just like in the 60's or when there was war! :) So ahah. I won once again.

Hizballah is trying to pull the USA into it and I wouldn't be suprised if Al Qaeda isn't behind some of it. We (USA) needs to stay out of this one. It's a trap. Isreal has a right to defend themsleves. If my neighbor breaks into my home and steals my daughter, then I will go to my neighbors home and destroy it.

There are two solutions to this conflict. The first solution is Total War which seems to be prevailing at the moment. The better solution is a lasting peace achieved through diplomacy.
To understand how to solve this problem we must first identify the ROOT cause of this conflict.
Some say the chaos started when Hezballah captured 2 Israeli soldiers on the Israeli-Lebanese border. I disagree. The capturing of these 2 soldiers is only a symptom of the failed peace process between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
The capturing of Cpl. Gilad Shalit is also a symptom of the failed peace process. In fact, any aggression may it be Israeli or Arab are symptoms of the failed peace process.
I call on all parties (Israel and Hezballah) to declare an immediate, unconditional, bilateral cease fire. Only after the bombs and rockets stop falling on our heads can we negotiate.
The second step is to address the immediate issues or symptoms of the problem which are the detentions of Cpl. Gilad Shalit and 2 other Israeli soldiers, the thousands of detainees held by Israel, the disarming of Hezballah, Qasam rocket attacks, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Shaaba Farms aka Har Dov and the Golan Heights aka Syrian Heights.
The third and final step to securing mideast peace would be to settle the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict which would have reverberations through out the Middle East and indeed the entire world.
Here is what I propose. There must be a bilateral cease fire and Israel must pull back its troops from the recent incursions.
Second, Israel must release all of its political prisoners and Cpl. Gilad Shalit and the other two Israeli soldiers must be returned immediately.
I would ask Hezballah to disarm according to UN resolution 1559 upon the condition that Israel uphold the multiple UN resolutions it has disregarded. http://www.ifamericansknew.org/stats/un.html
Israel must also hand back the Golan Heights to Syria and the Shaaba farms to Lebanon as regonized in the Israeli-Lebanese General Armistice Agreement of 1949 and UN resolution 425.
Finally, lasting peace must be secured throught the region by settling the Palestinian question. There is much to say about this but I will not go over every single issue now.
The two state solution will NOT work and has NOT worked! I propose a unified state solution where both Palestinians and Israelis will work, live, and play together.
The state should not be called Israel or Palestine, but a name that is neutral. (ie The United Provinces of the Middle East or The United Provinces of the Holy Land. Whatever as long as the name denotes unity and discourages division.) A unified capital will be established at Jerusalem.
Israelis will then be able to keep their settlements and settle wherever they like. Palestinian refugees must also be given the right of return and compensated for their losses. A general amnesty must be given to all parties Israeli and Palestinian. The victims of attacks between Palestinian forces and Israeli forces must be compensated. Palestinians whose homes have been bulldozed must be compensated. Everyone must be given the right to vote and all parties must be allowed to participate in a national government. All parties must also be allowed access to public institutions and garanteed saftey under a unified government. No one should be discrimated based on race, religion, or party affiliation. Peace in the Middle East can work but we must have leaders who are willing to achieve that peace by any means without resorting to violence.

Hezbollah is inaccurate. It all started this finished component by using appearing an act of warfare on Israel. by using attacking Israel, Hezbollah has taken away the sovereignty of Lebanon. Now the alternative to bypass to warfare, a sovereign accurate of states, has been taken faraway from the democratically elected authorities by using a terrorist team. on the different hand, the reaction of Israel changed into disproportionate. Bombing Beirut and the infrastructure of Lebanon will weaken the authorities, making its activity of regaining administration of southern Lebanon a lot extra frustrating. in case you retain in recommendations, the only accurate time the Lebanese military tried to disarm Hezbollah and the Palestinian refugees a civil warfare erupted. i imagine Israel must have dealt with it in yet differently, perchance even by using chatting with the Lebanese authorities secretly.

Whatever you ask to keep in mind ( in other words, be pre-conceived than open minded?) never in world history peace was established by war.. How many Hezbollah leaders died during the bombings compared to 330 plus lives? How many Israeli war monger generals died with Hezbollah rockets compared to 30 innocent lives? Leabanese people dont die everyday,, nor do they want to be controlled by terrorists.
But... you are not seeking ans answer dear freind, you are seeking confirmation to your beleif by the "keep in mind that" clause"... as well human beings do,, we always beleif in what we want to beleif in never the truth that we are not prepared for..

I agree with P.J. O'Rourke. The place is God's monkey house.
All sides have taken positions that cannot be reconciled, and they took them thousands of years ago.
Israel is going to destroy Lebanon -again- over two freaking soldiers. Wrong place, wrong time, and utterly stupid. There were a lot of other ways to resolve that other than total war.
Oh well. Too late for that now.

i think they should give everyone a week to get out and then put up a big wall around the middle east. Everyone still stupid enough to be there trying to settle their petty squabbling by violence and war can then proceed to blow the living daylights out of each other, then when all the jackasses who love war are dead, we can take down the walls and all the civilians can move back in and i'd happily chip in to help rebuild the place.

Israel always overeacts.
And about "Syria take my arm, Lebanon take my ear" and so on, keep in mind...that it was Israel who took it from them in the first place.
