i plugged it in to restore because it needs to be... but it failed!!!!!

make sure you download the latest version of iTunes to keep your iPod running properly. Once you do that, try restoring your iPod...which I'm assuming it means to just restart and sometimes you must do that without it being on any docking device (stereo, usb cable hook up to computer, etc.) and see if that works. OR try erasing everything from your iPod and iTunes and but have all your files from itunes saved somewhere on your computer so you can downlaod them again when you bascially reinstall your iPod. If that doesn't work tre apple care number that came with your iPod.
If not take it to your local Apple Store and they will gladly help you. iPods are great devices just make sure you know that's it's basically like a laptop with similar memory that is... and you wouldn't handle a laptop the way you would an iPod, would you?? So take care of your iPod, it's no different than any other machine that uses a hard drive. iPod nano's use flash memory...so you won't run into the same kind of problems.
Lastly, iPod has noticed that their portable music players aren't doing so well with PC computers, they work excellent with Macs and I know it's off the subject but Macs are AMAZING! if you like the iPod just imagine what the company that makes the iPod can do for you in a computer operating system!!!! mine was doin dat 2 i just got a new one or u can go 2 where u bought it an tell dem wat da problem is maybe they can fix it
