Who is the better striker between Craig Bellamy (Liverpool) and Andy Johnson (Everton)? I need to resolve a debate I've been having with one of my mates for the past week! I think Bellamy is better and the stats prove it:

Bellamy scored 17 goals in 32 games last season. Johnson scored 17 in 39. Bellamy has scored 110 career goals and Johnson has netted 98 (a lot of them in a much easier league).

Even though he scored against Rangers in an old-firm game whilst on loan at Celtic.
I'm going to say Bellamy, if he can stay clear of injury and keep out of trouble he could be a major player in the premier league this season, he could net over 25 goals in all compititions next season and help Liverpool lift some silverware.
Liverpool for the league!!

The stats say Bellamy, but one thing you'll often get from Johnson is more games through less injuries and fewer suspensions. I actually think that they're both right for their clubs in that Everton needed a reliable goalscorer to play alongside Beattie, whereas Liverpool need someone who can win a game when others in the team can't. I think Johnson will finish the season with more goals but Bellamy will have a higher ratio.

Andy Johnson is better, just.
Bellamy may have scored more goals than Johnson, but apart from when he played for Norwich, he's played for sides that are OK. Johnson scored a lot of goals in the Premiership in a poor Palace side. And you'd expect Bellamy to be provided with better quality chances at Liverpool than Johnson will get at Everton.

Two different strikers, Bellamy is a provider whereas Johnson is a goal poacher. Bellamy for me is the better player.

They are both very good strikers, although, with different abilities.
They can both score well.
I think Johnson can make good runs behind defenders as we have seen him do a couple of times for Crystal palace.
Not forgetting the kinda goals Ballamy have also scored for Blackburn in the past season.
I'ts very tight.
