I am a huge football fan. I played in high school. My problem with a girl on a football team, is that it misplaces the image of a female. They are seen to be sensitive and fragile. This is one of things that attracts the male to the female. When you join a sport that involves physical contact, it takes that away.
I am not saying that the female should stick to things like crochet, and cooking. I am totally for women in the military. They are out there fighting and standing up for our country, because they are proud of it. But, football is just another past time.
Besides, you females have got to leave us males something for ourselves...lol

In some high schools and junior colleges, a few girls play on the offensive line, but none play spotlight positions. And of course, most girls who play are placekickers in some scholastic teams. But just like Manon Rheaume, the girl who was a goalie in minor league hockey, any thought of playing in the Division One or professional level will always be no more than a pipe dream.

No. Some things are for guys only. Unless it's just playing a game in the park or something. Neither should a boy join a girls soccer team. Works both ways.

My female cousin cousin was on the highschool football team in Sacramento. I think it was her freshman year. She had lots of fun. She loves men , and loved the fact that she was surrounded by them all the time.
Also in Sacramento area there was news clip about another girl playing on the team. She said she had fun and could keep her own, but would not do it after her freshman year because the boys would be two big for her.

legally, you can join a guys' football team. it's unconstitutional for a coach or school corporation to deny you a spot on any sports' team based on your gender (Title IX). whether or not you want to endure the extreme physicality of football and probably some rude comments from the male football players is a personal decision.

I think that there should be a girl's football team as well as a guy's football team, just as there is girls' basketball, volleyball, swimming as well as boys' basketball, volleyball, swimming.
I think that at a young age, (the movie is way too glamerous in my opinion about this issue), you would only set yourself up to be called a dozen names, be ridicled and outcast. I do not think our society is past that hurdle.

In high school, sure, why not? When I was in school, there was a girl on the team. Now, professionally, heck no!

If you want to do it, go for it. If anything, you can say you have tried, and if you make it, that's even sweeter. You will never know unless you try. Good Luck!

Girls should stay in the kitchen. They want to join boys in everything. Just leave us alone and cook and clean around the house.
