Hemp not weed. Where is it legal to grow hemp? I read that about 5 states were approved to but something about research and the usda approving the seeds that are genetically altered to contain less THC.

Yes it could. Download Hemp For Victory. It also includes a document on why hemp was initially outlawed. It had nothing to do with being dangerous and everything to do with monetary gains for certain people and businesses. If you're unsure how to download torrents IM or email me and I'll help. EDIT: That's the kind of lack of knowledge that kills the movement.
Judith - Hemp and Marijuana are different parts of the SAME plant!
Steven - You don't get "high" by smoking hemp.

EDIT2: CrimsonWillow this link will tell you what states have an active hemp industry:

No. Hemp can't save anything. But it is a great source of fiber. And everyone who loves weed would like to believe it could save the planet.

I would like it to save the planet, too. But someone with brains needs to figure out the details. I am far too old.

lol no way!!

Tons of it would get burned and polluted into our air. Think about it, then everyone would just walk around naturally getting high, just by breathing. Bad idea.
