Yes it can be done. Lately it has become a trend to get both done at the same time to avoid coming back to the hospital; some people just hate being in the hospital. Discuss this option with your Orthopedic Surgeon, he or she can help you decide what will work best in your case.

I'm sure it can be done, but why would you want to? The recovery is long and painful (physical therapy). You'll be better off with one knee functional to absorb some of the stress while the other is healing. I cannot imagine any doctor recommending both knees at the same time, unless it's an emergency (accident etc).

I haven't had knee replacement surgery, but ripped the tendons in both knees doing sports. That alone took 4 months of PT, 7 hrs a week to heal.

no, it is not sugested that replace the both knees at the same time. at least the different should be of one month

This would make recovery very difficult so is not usually done.
