I remember hearing stories about when gas went up ppl stood up and got prices lowered. It makes sence to me that supply meets demand so wouldnt it work the opposite, demand meets supply?? Back then "we" did not put up with that sort of thing. What ever happened to "We the ppl" don't we or can we have a say in the matter, or have we gotten too busy to care or too cofortable to notice anymore that we do have a certain amount of power I mean without us they are nothing. The next question is how do you get the word to ppl to stop bying gas for just 3 days.Do that and watch what happens. The amount of gas used daily is in the millions of gallons just for casual driving thats excluding emergancy and big corperate consomption so in short 3 days will turn heads garenteed. So how do "we" get the word out any thoughts?

Great Statement. Actions speak louder than words. We should fight for lower gas prices. Count me in!

People are too overworked and overmedicated (not by accident!) these days to care about much of anything. As long as they can afford the high prices, they'll just complain and keep driving their SUV's. If they really wanted things to change, they should quit waiting for the oil-industry-controlled government and switch to smaller vehicles that get an average of three times the mileage of their current vehicle.

As for getting the word out, I don't have any good answers there. The Internet is a great tool if you can get the masses to read what you post. You could always try making bumper stickers about saving fuel and sell them online.

You should consider speaking with a grass roots organization or those people who are always protesting the Globalization and Government meetings.
Other than that contact your locals by newspaper or t.v.
Write a letter to your local paper suggesting it....

I agree with you.
I buy gass maybe once a week and have begun to walk more.

people won't stop buying gas, people NEED gas. the gas stations don't give a hoot if you don't go buy gas for a day or if you protest, they aren't afraid, People need to get around, they need to get to work.

not buying gas isn't the answer.
