This is only for Internet Explorer - anyone else know how for Firefox/Opera/etc?

Go into Internet Explorer, select the Tools menu (top of browser window), click Internet Options then click the Security tab, 2nd from left at the top of the dialog box.

Click the Custom Level button bottom middle of dialog box. You can then choose what settings you want for Active X controls, disable them all if you like.

When you have finished click OK, then OK - that's it!

Try upgrading your version of Internet Explorer. If you're running version 5.5 or earlier, you will get many more warnings than with the more recent versions.
