I have been doing press ups for the last 15 months, whenever I stopped doing press ups my body felt really bad and I had to do press ups again to be fit. I want to quit but the more I try to stop my body gets worse, is there a way to stop?

Whatever the exercise, changes ought to be gradual. Lessen the intensity and how long you engage in the activity. At the same time, begin to replace that with a different form of exercise completely, such as walking or running. Those are the best forms of exercise and doing this every day will make a big difference.

Well your body is use to being active in that area. I think you should still do a exercise in that area of your body not necessarily press ups...otherwise you won't feel healthy, it's part of exercising. Keep being active and good luck...
