Would you kill and tortune an innocent person (whom you did not know) only because a person with authority told you to torture and murder that person?
Just to let everyone know this question is one of my essays questions. :o)p

i would not. but look at the Holocaust. People did torture and kill Innocent people b/c authority told them to. But if they did not, they themselves would be tortured and killed. I think it depends on the situation. No one would do it just to do it but what are the circumstances they are under? and once they did, they would be mentally tortured for their whole life. some people in the Holocaust did rather die than murder others. I think it depends on the desperateness for survival .

There is only one being with this type of authority and that is the Lord and I doubt that the Lord would want anyone no matter who or what they are to kill and/or torture anyone or thing!!

Under no circumstance! As far as I'm concerned, it would take an exceedingly sick individual to do such a thing, I don't care how great the authority ordering it done might be. You've essentially asked about psychopaths.

lets hope no one ever has a job like that, and even hypothetically speaking one should stick to their morals and tell that person with authority to screw himself or do it himself on his own conscience. Killing an innocent person is against human law and disgusting. Stick it to the man. ha!

NO, I would not be able to live with myself after doing such an act. I think that in life there are always options; in this case, I would opt to lose my job rather than live wih with the memories of such horrible acts.

well...no i wouldnt, becoz there is no reason to kill and incoent person, we are all here for our own reasons and stripping someone from the reason is not how everything should work.
we shouldnt get told what to do, we all have our own brains so we should use them.

No, for something like that I would have to be sure HE/SHE did something seriously wrong. Like, might be willing twisting some child molestors "balls" of. But killing no.
