What is VLSI?
1)VLSI stands for "Very Large Scale Integration". This is the field which involves packing more and more logic devices into smaller and smaller areas.
2)VLSI circuits are everywhere ... your computer, your car, your brand new state-of-the-art digital camera, the cell-phones, and what have you. All this involves a lot of expertise on many fronts within the same field, which we will look at in later sections.
Defination:
VLSI - The amount of transistors that are incorporated in a chip. A VLSI processor has on the order of 100,000 or more transistors, but not over a million.

Very Large-Scale Integration
It is used to define integrated circuits that have many tens of thousands of gates on a single chip.
Do I get partial credit from your teacher now? ;-)

Seems to be an anti-cancer drug. Never heard of it personally, but that's what came up on a search.
