Try the wineries out off Hwy 94 and you will have a wonderful time! You can also check out Grant's Farm and check out Lacledes Landing at night down by the Gateway Arch. Union Station is also a fun place at night and has some outdoor seating restaurants.

All the usual suspects are mentioned...however, there are also free concerts at the Arch on Friday and Saturday night during the summer; immediately adjacent is Eats Bridge (real name is Eads but closed on weekends with food and beverage vendors scattered throughout). Also, just south of the stadium are several great live music clubs - two have outdoor venues if it is not too hot. And just use regular commonsense regarding safety - I live in St. Louis and am downtown on a regular basis, never had any problems!

Be prepared to be hot. This is the worst time to be in St Louis -- weather-wise.
There are bars all over, downtown is Laclede's Landing -- which has several places.
The hotel bars are fun after baseball games -- very nice, lots of people and lots of energy.
St Louis can be dangerous -- be careful. I think St Louis still out-murders even Detroit.

Laclede's Landing, Washington Avenue downtown, Soulard, and the Central West End offer the best opportunities to visit several types of places in a night within easy walking distance.

Since you like to drink, go to Laclede's Landing. I had never been there so my friends took me there for my 23rd birthday this year & I had a BLAST! We went to Morgan Street Brewery. Just to let you know, there's a bit of a "dress code" in that area....nothing too fancy though trust me.
