I think the British Empire is to blame for lots of things, including the British taking the natural and man-made resources from lots of countries. However, the Queen (or monarchy), recieved lots of gifts from the corrupt governments of some former colonies, and a lot of her diamonds were considered 'gifts' either to the queen herself or her predecessors.
So, although I agree with your sentiments, I just ask, who would she give them back to? Individuals or governments? Maybe you want them yourself so you can parade around and look flashy?
I can't wait to see King Charles wearing his mother's pearl earrings as long as he has a matching handbag!

I am an Indian and I would say that it is we Indians who should be ashamed for failing to protect it in the first place. Finders keepers, losers weepers.
