If this actually has happened... no one has lived to tell about it...
I often wonder about it, however. I usually awaken right before I hit the ground.
How would anyone know? Scientific studies would be unfruitful... until we have a way of putting what's in a dream on a monitor. Even then I wonder if it would negligent for researchers to allow someone to die in the laboratory. ?

Sounds like you have cool dreams!
I don't know if there is any evidence of anyone
dying in real life when they die in their dreams
but I believe it could very well happen. Not from dying in
the dream but from the body's reaction to the dream.
The body reacts to dreams as if they are real. Sometimes
you may have felt this yourself. You wake up a after a nightmare and you are sweating and panting like what happened in the dream really did happen. The body can't distinguish between what is imagined and what is real. It's the same with our imaginations: we get worried about something and it's only something imagined, not the real thing. The body reacts as if what we are imagining is real and this can cause stress and many physical symptoms. Anyways, if someone with a weak heart could dream of something like dying and it being terrifying it could possible be enough to cause a heart attack.
Dreams are fun and when you're conscious enough you can actually be aware that you're dreaming. You can be the script writer, actor, and director in your dreams.
A great question!

No, if you die in your dreams it means you are ready for a change or something needs to end in your life. A car, you driving, usually means you want to be in control. I think a general idea for your dream pattern is that you are fearful of being in control of something, but your dream is letting you know that even if you blow it...all will be okay. Take a few risks!

I did believe that when I was a child. But as an adult I have had one dream where I was shot in the head. I actually saw my brains his the wall. Needless to say I woke up.

do you play a lot of video games? LOL Dreams are sometimes what happens when your mind goes back play-by-play on something that happened to you during the day. Imagination+subconscious+memories=sweet dreams! LOL

SOMEONE TOLD ME IF YOU HAVE A FALLING DREAM AND YOU HIT BOTTOM YOU DON'T WAKE UP, YOU CAN DIE FOR REAL. WETHER THIS IS TRUE I DON'T KNOW. MOST PEOPLE WOULD PREFER TO DIE WHILE SLEEPING ANYWAY. THESE DREAMS PROBABLY ARE WARNING YOU TO BE CAREFUL OF YOUR ACTIONS AND THAT YOU ARE FEARLESS IN CHARACTER. NOT BAD BUT JUST TO BE CAREFUL. WELL, I DON'T KNOW.

It's not true...and even if it was, how would we know, because the people who died in their dreams would be dead and couldn't tell us about it! : P
