A true Creole would be black, Indian and french. Many will even have other European nationalities besides french. Creoles are the free people of color on Louisiana who were not just black, they usually had a father from European decent and the mother was either Creole or a free black woman with several races making up her race. Many are the decedents of illegitimate children of rich plantation owners. If you want a good idea of this see THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS or THE COURAGE TO LOVE. they are both about this group right before the Civil War.
