I have 26 months of Sales & Mktg. Experince in the Steel & Enerygy sectors. Can I join an IT company as a CRM Functional Consultant?

Do you only have sales and marketing experience or do you have IT? If only sales and marketing you might be getting into something you are not ready for yet. However, if you stay in the same industry you will have a better chance.
