Also Verizon offers a wireless card you insert into your laptop for $80 a month or $60 a month of you're a current cell phone subscriber. I know Sprint has a deal too. If you're near a router, like someone said at Starbucks or a school, etc., your wireless laptop should pick up an internet connection. However, if you lose connection, that means you have moved away from a wireless router. It's the same concept as a cell phone site. When your calls get dropped, your internet will get dropped. Just like that.

First, you may need to get a wireless adapter to plug into it. Some new laptops come with wireless built in. Secondly, you need to either subscribe to a service or, if your home has high speed Internet you can add a wireless router.
TMobile has wireless Internet for about $30 a month and that will give you access at all the Starbucks, Kinkos, and some other places.
Also, I'm sure there are some coffee shops or stores around your town which have wireless access for free. You just need to find where they are.
Once you find a place which has wireless, open your laptop and it should find it and then open your browser and try to surf the web.

It might be easier to just ask someone around you who has a notebook with wireless.
But here's a bit of info... it's very simple. You basically need a wireless signal nearby (i.e. Starbucks, coffee-shop, airport, your house, dunkin donuts, and many other places). Turn the wireless button on your laptop on and in the bottom right corner of your screen, you should see a little computer with three curvy lines coming out... that means a wireless signal is nearby. double click that and click connect on one of the signal. If there is a little lock next to the signal's name, you'll need a password. once connected, you can surf to your heart's content. good luck

Well, you need to buy a Wireless card for your laptop. Some good brands are D-Link, Linsys, and if you go to your nearest electronics store, or eBay, you can find one right away.
The ones you should be looking for are the G ones with the 108Mbps speed.
Also, you can stream your internet connection wirelessly. All you need is a wireless router. Same brands apply.

You need to have a wireless card on your computer. Also, get a wireless router for your cable or dsl modem so you can get a signal. Or, you can connect to "hot spots" at airports, coffee shops, etc.
