Although not researched in the wild. It is estimated that males up to 6 years; females up to 20 years. For tarantulas in general, the life span is species dependent. In captivity, males up to 3.5 years; females, more than 20 years.

Male tarantulas can only live for a maximum of 1.5 years after reaching sexual maturity (they can no longer molt successfully). It takes 3 to five years for them to become mature. Females tarantula usually live for fifteen to twenty years, although some have been said to live as long as thirty years.
