Do Internet romances make any sense? There's this one girl I love (it's not mutual as far as I know) and have talked to for a little while. I've never seen a picture of her or heard her voice, I still feel a chemistry for her.

I want to talk to her on the phone and see a picture of her. I think she is my soulmate, I want to get to know her more to make sure.

It's not real, hon. If y'all were to set something up and become friends and actually be around each other face to face, then it could become real. BE CAREFUL!!!

Ask her for her number and a picture of her. But ask for the picture after you talk to her on the phone. I guess internet romance is OK but make sure the person you are talking too is a real person and not something someone is making up. That is the only reason I think they aren't good. People can lie...

It honestly, depends. You say you feel chemistry, yet you've never talked to her in person or seen her picture? How long have you known her? And if it's been for a while, how do you know "she" isn't a "he"? I have met a couple people online, only one was my boyfriend for a while, but before we met, I saw his picture and we talked on the phone. I don't go for looks, I always go for personality, but you should at least know gender and age...on top of that, my parents went with me to the airport to pick him up the first time we ever met. Ask if "she" is willing to send a pic, or even talk on the phone...if not, then it's not worth it. It's hard to tell who you can trust over the e-net anymore...there's too many freaks out there...if you're going to do anything, all I have to say is BE CAREFUL...

The most solid relationships are built upon a strong foundation obviously. I would say that it makes a lot of sense. Intellectual compatability, enjoying conversing and getting to know someone from that view FIRST is smart.
A lot of people are attracted to others for very superficial reasons which doesn't make for lasting relationships. "Looks" cannot sustain a relationship. You have to be attracted to the heart and soul of a person for it to be good and enduring.

One of my friends met her husband on a internet chat room. They have happily married for 4 years now, so internet romances can sometimes work out.
