hi all,

i was just wondering if someone could help me out. i had my period while ago... or at least, i think i did. my period started when it should have, but it remained dark and clotted (like it does near the end of my period) for about two days, and then it just stopped. my periods are NEVER like that! they go on for DAYS and are super heavy... and usually i get cramps. so, none of that has happened. i took a pregnancy test (although it's been a while since i've had sex anyways, and my boyfriend and i are always safe) and it was negative as expected, so i don't know what the hell is going on. any help or suggestions are welcome.

I wouldnt worry too much.. I think it may have something to do with iron levels in your blood. To be safe first go to http://www.webmd.com and type in your symptoms to give you a better idea of what could cause this. Also seeing your Ob/gyn 2-3 times year (or more often when problems arise) if you are menstrating and/or having sex is always a good idea.

A period can sometimes be a really dark brown color. It can be shorter than other times and it is still a period. I had one like this and I freaked out. I went to the doctor and she said it was okay. Are you using birth control? If not do. Take another test for pregnancy and get a better form of birth control if you are just using condoms. You are probably fine, but just do another test for sure. Periods vary somethimes, but you did have one and will probably have another one on schedule if you are a regular schdule person. I know it is scarry.

Lots of things can change how your period is - how much exercise you're getting, your diet, your stress levels.

If none of those things have changed signifigantly since your last period, then it probably wouldn't hurt to talk to your gynecologist. They'll be able to give you a better idea what's going on and know if it's a more serious problem or nothing to worry about.

Don't panic..sometimes our periods are just crazy and different and that makes us anxious..Not to worry you but you may want to repeat a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks..Although you use protection it isn't 100 percent effective..if you have another period like that or don't get your period see your doctor.

A positive pregnancy result is 100% but a negative result is not. Thus, visit your local P. Parenthood (free) for a definite result

Don't worry about it. If u want to put ur mind at ease though ask ur doctor. I've had that too. I don't think it's n e thing to be concerned about. Don't take this the wrong way, but how old r u?

Hi, any new foods, medicines, vitamins? It could also be stress. I wouldn't worry too much, but keep an eye out next month, if it does it again go see your gynocologist.

that lady sounds accurate. i dont comprehend a lot about era blood yet i comprehend that the thicker and darker crimson the blood is the in good structure that is. wealthy darkish thick blood tells you that you're finished of iron and the hemoglobins are finished of wealthy oxygen
