It really depends on the strength of your relationship, the patience and common goals between the two of you. Every relationship is tough to keep together but even more difficult when the distance between is great. Communication is vital and sharing of thoughts will inspired the cohesion that should keep it together. But it will take work and I wish you luck!

First off, you have the wrong catagory and second, are we talking about continents here? My husband and I were 2000 miles from each other while we dated for 2 years. We have now been married for almost 11 years so it can work. You need to be committed to the relationship and not be a jealous person. Both of you must be trustworthy and in love. Hope this helps. Good luck

Technically, it depends on what types of people we are dealing with. Are you in a position that you can afford not see this person alot like if you have a steady job? Do you both have the patience to only be able to talk over the phone or computer and not be able to get active physically? When do you two plan on meeting and how often? iIf you have the time patience and trust then absolutely go for it but if not then i would advise you to try getting closer to him location wise if you can afford to or do anything possible to make both of you comfortable.

I believe it really does. When I was 18 I moved to Denver and my boyfriend was in South Dakota. We dealt with it through 3 months. In Jan 05 the same guy, now my husband, joined the military the only communication we had was the phone and letters. In May 05, and since then, he has been in S Korea and we are doing great!! He will be in S Korea until May next year. I believe if you both have the will to make it work, it will work. Good luck!

G'day,
I'm in a long distance relationship at the moment. The best advice i can give is to shoot for it, and if its meant to be it will work.

It will, if you work on it TRUST and CONSTANT COMMUNICATION are the most important thing when you're into. But if you're negative about having it then i guess... you'll really end up parting ways...
