huh ??? what do you mean with "such that no 3 can go again?" what are the conditions that 'no 3 can go again'

Ah maybe you mean that "not the same three students go again as one group for a visit ?"

the number of different groups that can be formed with one student fixed is 7*6. thus this is the number of visits for one student. the teacher will travel 8*7*6
