Women marry because they need to sucker a man into staying with them, with legal ramifications. They also want money and when they divorce they get half of the man's money.
Men marry because they fall for it.

So, are you asking the question or telling us the answer? You sound like you were burned by a not nice lady. Sorry to hear that but to lump all women into the same category is wrong. Not all women are like that. Most people--men AND women--want to marry for love, companionship and security. It isn't a fast pass to the good life--nor should it be a relationship where one person overpowers the other either physically, emotionally or psychologically. It is a give and take. If it is real, it is amazing. If it isn't, it is pure hell.

Marriage - what does it mean to a man ... and to a woman? Does it mean allegiance to one person to the exclusion of liaisons or affairs or relationships with another person or persons? Is it a quest for happiness... an elusive or illusory one at that? Is it a quest for self-control... or is it self-flagellation? It is the biggest mystery of all times. To do... or not to do...!
but what you said is also true in the case of some women,but not all.

No, most women marry because they fall in love. If it seems otherwise, it's 'cuz you're looking in the wrong places. It IS however true that women look for security. But usually security in LOVE is the top priority, not security in money.

Women are more likely to want to nest, set up a permanent residence with another person, decorate, have children, make meals. While women's lib did give women other options to shoot for, down deep most women still just want to nest.
Men, on the other hand, are more prone to want to wander and plant their seed all over creation. They are the hunter/gatherers and want to be out and about, not tied down to one place.

Women marry becos they love the man and they want his companionship , someone 2 come home 2. Men marry becos they can have free sex, a nice and comfortable home 2 come home 2 , ego, a free maid who cooks,does laundry etc.

Women marry becasue of security, a woman who is alone is more vulnurable and insecure than a married woman, and we men just need a living breath to pump ourselves into :)

Funny that you mention this. There was a survey published earlier this week that said 78% of women would rather have a pet than a husband. I think you are misinformed.

it is a critiera of a society in which a woman cant live alone for a whole life that is y she married. or a woman cant live without a man or a woman without man hasnt got any status in life.
