I have two questions to ask. I am about 10 days from my period and i'm on the Pill. Right now i have breast tenderness, it hurts and i don' t know if that's from the system of my period or could i be pregnant. I am very religious about my Pill, never miss a day. My other question is that i heard people who use the calender as their contraceptive also check their tempature each month. If the tempature is high that means that they're fertile. Does anyone knows what is the tempature is?How high they're suppose to be?

Breast tenderness at that time of the month is normal for many people not pregnant. You would not have tenderness from a pregnancy yet as there would not be enough of the pregnancy hormone in your system yet--if an embryo even had implanted yet! As for temps, there is not set temp. It is an increase in your temp for that cycle. You need to take your temp every day prior in that cycle to determine if there is an increase. I would not stress out...you still have 10 days to wait and then worry. I have breast tenderness almost every month, usually a few weeks before my period. During this time you may be ovulating and the hormones are at the highest peak causing your breasts to be tender. The best advice is not to stress out. Stressing can cause your period to be late. If you take your pill correctly chances are you are not pregnant. Also you can take a pregnancy test before you miss your period, there are new types of pregnancy tests that can detect the preganancy hormone up to five days before your period. If you are still stressed and worried get an early detection test. I would take a deep breath and exhale....give it time. Breast tenderness is normal and not something to freak out about. We are women and our bodies react to the hormone levels through major glands...our breasts are full of sensitive glands. It will be okay....
Oh and lots of caffine can cause breast tenderness as well.

Well, I'm not a doctor, but my breasts usually hurt a few days before each of my periods (I'm on the pill, too). A lot of women have that symptom before their periods. But as I've never been pregnant, I'm not sure if that's a symptom of pregnancy.
As for your second question, I really don't know- sorry

I could only answer your first question im not sure about the second one, your breast being tnder might just be a side affect from the birth control but to be on the safe side you should take a pregnancy test if your late.

Breast tenderness in the middle of your cycle can be normal, but see a doctor if you're worried about it.
