In the years since terrorists attacked us , President Bush
has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled
al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and North
Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who
slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

we are making significant progress.
there are entire cities that have been turned over exclusively to the iraqi military and are now devoid of american military presence even in an advisory role. if that is not progress I don't know what is.

Thats not really a fair comparison. Progress has be made, but I dont think we will get much farther. The US military has run its course in Iraq. The country is involved in sectarian violence that will not be stopped by any real solution. Its time to pull out, and focus on the true problems, such as Iran, N. Korea, and Syria, Those 3 countries are directly or indirectly responsible for 90% of terrorist attacks in the world.

No. I doin't think we are making progress ANYWHERE in the Middle East.
It is two steps forward and one step backwards and one step forward and two steps backward. We are holding our own, but that is no consolation considering the fact that we pump 160 billion dollars a year into a backwards and politically oppressive government.
Maybe we can make some headway there, but my nephew who is the sole surviving son in this war tells me that (after his brothers brains got blown up in a car bombing) we either have to go with the program or we all lose.
Figure that one out?
His mother tells me that this is President Bush's war and that we are insignificant in the Presidents plans.

That depends on what your idea of progress is. Are the oil boys maintaining a crisis so oil will be at record prices? yes they are making progress. Are we making Iraq a peaceful society that has liberty and justice for all and a true democracy? not from what Im hearing I have heard soldiers say its all fffed up and those people don't want it, they want a strong cold blooded leader back in control.

This war is stupid! It makes no sense. What are we proposing to do about the real threats from N. Korea and Iran? We need a real President, with foresight, good information, and good decision making abilities. Bush can't cut it! So we should cut him from the White House...

I am sorry Mr. Brainwashed. IRAQ can only be considered taken, when there is no more war and no more soldiers and innocents killed. Turn of fox, I'll sell you some knowledge, for a price!

look at the odds...
there are a few million people in Detroit... 100,000 in Iraq...
which odds do you like beter?
if you're comparing the entire country... you need to include the civilian deaths... which are FAR greater than the murders you listed
the things you're comparing are not comparable, because they are not of equal size... or even close...

Those are the number of dead soldiers we have, not the number of total deads. Every month thousands of iraqi civilians get killed in a country as big as one of our states.
