Because when they are born their little hearts would always cry when they wanted something form Momma or when they were hurt.
Noiw as the child begins to grow up, the longer Mothers keep children in the crying mode is bad for them as they hit 3 years of age. A Child needs to be loved and held warm and showed affection so that as they get older they will not cry as much, but understand. neglected children are the worse and they become insensitive and grow up with hate and anger for their expression. It is at this point, when abuse steps in becasue parents can't realize that they caused it because they were poor examples of parents.
A good child raised will still cry and they remember it when they were young, but onoy to exhert their emotions and clear up a tear duct.
Crying is good for babies...just look at Michael Jackson when he crys....lol

Babies have no other way of expressing themselves or of leaving a situation that is new or overstimulating to them so they cry out for attention, food, diaper changes, etc. Toddlers and older children cry generally because they are frustrated or angry about something and they don't have the social skills yet to understand how to deal with things. It's normal, but it can still be annoying.

When they get mad and frustrated or when they get hurt the only way they can show they are unhappy or mad is by crying. This is because they have very limited vocabulary and don't know how to express in words how they feel about certain situation. So crying is the only way to show these emotions to people.

Babies & little kids need many things from us, and Nature has equipped them with the single most annoying sound in the world to be sure to get our attention,
No, I'm not kidding. The annoyance factor is crucial to getting adults to see to the kid right away!

If you mean non-stop, there is something wrong. Otherwise, it is the only way they know to communicate. It works for them: "Feed me, I'm hungry." "Change me, I'm wet!" When they are finally able to talk, they are so used to getting their way by crying, and so it continues...
Big kids and adults cry, too! Non-stop is a problem that needs to be addressed!

They cry because thats the only way that they can communicate to an adult or their parents that something is wrong. They are emotionally sensitive.

SOME KIDS CRY BECAUSE, THEY HAVE INSTINCTS JUST LIKE ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING AND THEREFORE KNOW THAT WHEN THEY CRY,THE CAREGIVER WILL AUTOMATICALLY KNOW THE SITUATION IN WHICH THE KID IS IN.HENCE THE CAREGIVER/MUM WILL SIMPLY AND SQUARELY RESPOND TO IT.
