I think so. Trade him to the Indians for Sabathia and Sizemore. What do you think?

Last year all he did was hit 48 HRs, drive in 130 RBI, score 124 times, steal 21 bases and hit .321 with an OBP of .421. What a bum!

This year he's on pace to hit 40+ HRs drive in 120+ RBIs. Not another 3b in baseball will touch his bad year much less last year. Rolen is the closest to producing those kinds of numbers. On top of it A-Rod has great range and a cannon for an arm.

The Yanks DO need to get younger though. I'd ditched Sheffield last year for pitching. I'd also get rid of Giambi. The sox or the Mets will prob take him. I'd even pay his salary long as a good young catcher came with the deal. I'd then move Posada to half catching duties while he taught his replacement and use Bernie to fill. Posada still has some good years left in his bat. He's an injury waiting to happen behind the plate and every year his production slumps heavily toward the end of the year. At 1b Possada would likely bloom as a hitter. With Damon locked up in a contract and Godzilla too valuable to lose that only leaves RF and Catcher as open spots to introduce youth. Cano is the only starter under 30. Most are over 35. Too old to win pennents. It is very rare and never does a team that old repeat.

Big holes on the team are pitching and adding youth. Giambi and Sheffield are both tainted by steroid use and injury plauged. Time to dump them for any value possible.

The problem the Yankees face is that they pay top dollar for talent and end up with contracts that become almost impossible to move.

Before you can trade A-Rod, Giambi, etc., you need to find someone willing to take the contract. There are a half-dozen teams who can afford any of those guys. That limits your options if you're the Yankees and trying to move these guys.

If I'm Cleveland, there is NO WAY I deal Sabathia and Sizemore for A-Rod.

I don't think that people understand that Alex Rodriguez has a no-trade clause and only he can say if he will be traded. Not a lot of teams can afford him, let alone the Cleavland Indians. Alex Rodriguez is one of the greatest players in the history of Major League Baseball, leave him in New York, let him come out of the slump. He is the reining MVP.

Yes, for some good, young pitching. His "slump" has gone on way too long. He's proven he cannot play for a large market team. He needs to go back to Texas or Seattle where there's no pressure. He's certainly not stepping up now when the Yankees with all of their injuries deperately need him to be the go to guy. He's losing games both with his bad and glove. It's like a Chuck Knoblauch mental thing!

Shut up Georgie Porgie....you're a f a g. Ooops....my bad....you really are I just checked out your 360 page. A-Rod ain't going nowhere. Derek Jeter is totally heterosexual....he gets tons of ladies in New York. And as for A-Rod, he is married to a sexy blonde from Florida. So while these guys are getting some hot a-s-s......you are getting some dude's a-s-s. Stop cracking gay jokes and look in a mirror.

I'm surprised Yankee fans aren't more supportive of A-Rod. Yes, he's in a slump right now, but let's not forget last year he was the AL MVP. It's sort of fast to count him out forever, and not worth his money. I'm not saying it might not play out to be the best move to trade him eventually, but I think as of right now, it's too fast to assume he's not just in a slump. He could snap out of it, and come on strong to finish out the season- when it really counts in the AL East!

No way. A-rod is just not having a great season this year but he is still one of the best baseball players around.
